Our Story
Since 2003, we’ve been creating award-winning balance bikes designed to make learning to ride fun, exciting, and rewarding. What started as a tiny one-person operation has grown into a successful global brand, with more than 500,000 bikes sold and counting.
As the perfect first bike, our balance bikes help children build confidence, coordination, and a love of riding from the very beginning. Today, kids can start their riding journey on officially licensed Ducati and Triumph balance bikes, bringing legendary motorcycle brands to their very first ride.

The First Kiddimoto Balance Bike
Every great story starts with an idea. For Kiddimoto, it started in 2003, when founder Simon Booth, a bike-mad dad, built a wooden prototype of a superbike-inspired balance bike in his flat in Axbridge, Somerset.
That simple prototype grew into the UK's first balance bike brand, introducing a new generation of little riders to the joy of two wheels — and turning a one-man show into a thriving global business.
Today, from our Somerset roots to families around the world, we're still inspired by Simon's original vision: bikes that spark confidence, adventure, and a lifelong love of riding.
Awards Followed
As Kiddimoto grew, so did the recognition — from the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise in 2015, including an unforgettable meeting with Her Majesty the Queen, to Gold at the 2017 Mother & Baby Awards, plus nods from icons like Hamleys and The Independent.
From our first wooden prototype to international recognition, every award has been part of the Kiddimoto story.
